Free Comic Book Day – What is it?
Free Comic Book Day (FCBD) is one of the best events in the comic year!
Held on the first Saturday of May it is about celebrating comic books with your local comic book shop. Each publisher produces a title (or 2) created specifically for FCBD. These are the books available for free on FCBD (so no, sorry, you don’t just get to pick up any book in the shop and get it for free). There are books for all ages and varying genres; something for everyone.
The very first Free Comic Book Day event was held in 2002 to encourage new readers to visit their local comic book store. In the past, thousands of stores all around the world have participated in Free Comic Book Day events and they give away thousands of comics to customers for free.
For 2018 we have a fun day planned.
- We have a raffle for every purchase over $10 on the day.
- With multiple prizes available; action figures, wacky wobbler & a statue to be won! Colouring competition for everyone under the age of 12!
- Lucky dip door prizes!
- Games & trivia!
- There will be store vouchers to be won AND
- 2018 will see us host the Shaken Not Nerd Live Podcast from 3:30pm.

Remember we will give away as many Free Comic Books as we can on the day, until they RUN OUT!
As soon as you walk into Incognito Comics on FCBD you are eligible for 3 Free Comic Book Day Comics! You can come into the store and select any 3 books from the 25+ comics available on the FCBD shelf. You can collect an additional FCBD comic for every $10 you spend on the day (spend $50, pick up another 5 FCBD issues). You can select an additional issue if you are dressed in Cosplay.
The Cheltenham store will be open from 9:30am to 5:30pm on FCBD. We look forward to seeing you all on the day and hope you can make it down!
For all our interstate customers, we don’t want you to miss out. So, this year we will allow customers to place Free Comic Book Day issues in their cart with their orders placed on Saturday 5thMay 2018.
For online customers, for every eligible order placed on 5thMay 2018 you will have access to 1 Free Comic Book Day comic and receive another Free Comic Book for every $10 spent (excludes shipping). (Spend up to $10 = 1 FCB, spend $20 = 2 FCB, spend $50 = 5 FCBD comics with your order.) We will let you choose which comics you would prefer online. If you select more comics than you are eligible for or only select 3 when you have access to 4, we will decide which ones you will be sent. All online orders placed 5thMay 2018 must be eligible to be sent within 7 days (by 10thMay), all items must be in-stock or arriving 9thMay. Any orders for Pre-Order items must be placed separately as they are NOT eligible for Free Comic Book Day. Orders that include pre-order items will not receive a free comic book with their order. Minimum cost of order is $5 and excludes shipping.
