The book opens with the Justice League batteling a team of "Sparkers" sent by the man who caused everything to stop them from getting to Dr. Destiny. Martian Manhunter still enraged by the events of issue 2 is having none of it. He quickly ends the fight, and then Uses Green Lantern to find the whereabouts of Dr. Destiny.
When they arrive, they see Destiny tied up and either monitoring or creating a slew of different realities. Thankfull to the Justice League, Dr. Destiny tells them he was promised his dreams, from the guy who is really behind everything. A being known as Know Man.
