"October Moon" Part 1 of 3.
Since the conclusion of the Child Within storyline in Spectacular Spider-Man 183, Edward Whelan (aka Vermin) has made wonderful progress with Dr. Kafka in the NYU psychiatric ward. In fact his transformations into the man-rat are occurring less and less often. Could the end of Vermin be near? However strange things happen on a full moon…and a weird group of creatures rises from the sewer system and storms into the NYU medical center! And then proceeds to kidnap Edward and Dr. Kafka! Wow, truly bizarre! Does the Spectacular Spider-Man know what's going on? No, he doesn't. But rest assured…he will.
